My Approach
I am experienced in working with people of all ages but am
particularly passionate about working with children/adolescents and their parents.

I primarily use an approach combining Attachment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that is integrated with Art and Play Therapy interventions.
This is strength-based approach that involves exploring the concerns, identifying roots and patterns, and working toward change in a way that restores balance.
Furthermore, this approach can address a range of concerns including (but not limited to) parent-child and sibling relational conflicts, anxiety, depression, problem solving,
thought / feeling / behaviour patterns, and life / developmental transitions.
"When we reach out for support, we may receive empathy,
which is incompatible with shame and judgement.
We recognize that our most isolating experiences are also the most universal.
We recognize that we are not defective or alone in our experience"

Parent-Child Dyadic Therapy is an approach that involves both the parent and child committing to the therapy process. This means that both the parent and child share the responsibility of the ongoing relational challenge(s) and work together toward agreed upon

This approach is appropriate for any parent child relationship, regardless of age and requires a commitment to a minimum of 6 sessions.

Modified Interaction Guidance (MIG) Therapy
MIG is an approach for parent-child relationships that uses a combination of video-taping and discussion to help parents understand their child's behaviours and needs. This approach helps parents and children build stronger connections, set boundaries, and understand external or past aspects that influence their relationship.
